Do xenon light bulbs require conversion kits?
I have stock headlights and i want to make the lights brighter. However I dont want to buy a HID conversion kit. I see Xenon light bulbs on ebay and at local auto stores. Do xenon bulbs require conversion kits or are they plug and play? also i want to do this to my foglights, but i dont know if i have to buy special bulbs for that too
also whats a good brightness to aim for in xenon lights?
Which one is better?

There is a bit of confusion between Xenon bulbs (standard filament bulbs with xenon gas) and Xenon HID (with no filament, using an electric arc in xenon gas and metallic salts)
Neither of these eBay items look like genuine HID bulbs - they are both Xenon Halogen bulbs.
A true HID bulb gives about 3 times the lights of a halogen, and WILL need a ballast unit to give to 20,000 volts needed.
The Xenon halogen bulbs are a great upgrade - they simply replace the standard bulbs, and the best of them - by Ring or Osram - product 90% to 100% more light.
I would avoid the 8000K lights, except for show use. The amount of light they produce is considerably less than standard (a lot of it is cut out by the blue tinting), and they will attract the attention of the law.
For reference, these are HID kits for H11 bulbs: http://www.hids4u.co.uk/h11-xenon-hid-conversion-kits/
and these are H11 upgrade bulbs: http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/h11-bulbs.html
PS: I'd avoid buying off an ebay seller that describes them as HID bulbs when they are not. They are either trying to mislead or don't have a clue!
