White Diffused Led

Does anyone know of a material/resin (liquid) that is good for diffusing (translucent) LED lights?
I am looking to make type of lamp from a glass bottle and I would like some type of resin that could be poured into the bottle and allowed to harden to act as a light diffuser so when lit the bottle would appear to glow. I would want something that would be translucent and white colored. Also where is a website that I could find this?
I'm am probably going to light it using LED(s) at the top. A well placed bright wide angled LED will illuminate the entire bottle.
Not sure how you're making the filled bottle glow (only the topmost parts of the bottle, if it the bulb will be above it?, for example), but there are various materials you could use I guess.
There is one type of epoxy resin called "floral setting resin" which is intended to be poured into vases, etc. (generally to hold the stems of silk flowers in place in permanent arrangements). It doesn't cure as "hard" as regular epoxy (or polyester) resins but that's not a problem when it's contained and the surface won't really be accessible.
It's clear, but since it's a resin I assume it could be colored with the special "resin colorants" that are sold, or you could just use artists' oil paints (in tubes) which are the same thing as far as I understand.
You can buy them as opaque colors or as regular colors (which are translucent). If you use artists' oil paints, they are translucent unless Titanium White oil paint is added (which is always opaque... adding just a bit of Titanium White to the resin would probably give you a fairly translucent white color though).
You can buy floral setting resins at places that sell artificial flowers (craft stores, probably art supply stores, some hobby stores), at flower shops I think, and online.
There's more info on brand names and how to use them on this page of my site, if you want to check it out:

Another possibility could be to "cover" the bottle with translucent polymer clay... we do that all the time in the polymer clay community to create votives, light shields, etc., which are translucent so diffused light shines through.
There are various brands of polymer clay sold as the "transcluent" color, but they vary a bit in their final look --including type of "white". Many other polymer clays have translcuent in their make up as well (not always obvious since colors also qualify, especially for some of the brands like Sculpey III)...many polymer colors can also be used for the light-shining-through effect.
There's more info on all those things on these pages, if you're interested:
