When it gets cold outside, it takes two 1500 watt space heaters to get it warm enough. There is little in the way of insulation, which I might be able to add. Is there a more economical heating solution? Thanks.
Must be awfully cold where you are. I'd insulate as much as you can, especially the roof, and the floor if possible or at least get yourself something to stand on that's insulating for your feet. Even those locking foam sheets they sell for kids' playrooms could work for that. Get lots of insulation in the place and a few candles might heat it though that wouldn't be cheaper than electricity. A woodstove isn't very practical in such a small space. Allow clearances so you don't set fire to stuff and you'd barely be able to move in there even with a very small stove. They make direct vent propane heaters for boats that will mount on a wall. Not particularly cheap to buy but very compact and might be worth the investment
