When two cars are stopped at a four-way-stop, which car is the car "on the right" that has the right-of-way?
"When two or more drivers stop at the same time, the car to the right has the right of way."
I don't understand this. Which way is the right? Doesn't every person have a different "right" since they are all facing different directions? Can someone please clear this up for me'?
Right of Way at a 4way stop when 2 or more vehicles arrive at the same time:
1) The vehicle going straight through the intersection.
2) The vehicle to your immediate right, not the vehicle in front or to the left but to YOUR right unless you've forgotten where your right hand is, at which point you really shouldn't be driving.
3) The vehicle making a right turn
4) The vehicle making a left turn
The last time I looked my right hand is still my right hand. It has never changed to a left hand. You shouldn't concern yourself with the other guys "right". The instructions state "to your right". If you arrive at an intersection at the same time as another vehicle which is approaching from your "RIGHT" and you both come to a complete stop at the same time then he has the "right of way".
