I have a 2009 Toyota RAV4 and I want to hook up my amp and sub to my stock cd player with a toggle switch.I know I need an amp wire kit, and line out converter for the RCA cables. Does the amp need to have a remote wire hook up to the cd player? I know aftermarket cd players have a remote but does the stock cd player have a remote wire on?
What all do I need to hook my stuff up?!
I don't know specifically about your model, however does it have a power antenna? if so you have a remote, if not, I'm not sure.
The remote wire does not need to be hooked up to the CD player, it just needs 12+ to turn the amp on, so you can hook it up to a toggle, make sure your feed for the toggle is switched with the key to avoid accidentally leaving the amp on and killing the battery.
