Subwoofer box question?
Alright, I have 2 audiopipe 15's, taking 750 rms each from kicker 1500.1 with 2 gauge wire, with this box http://cgi.ebay.com/15-DUAL-BASS-SLANTFRONT-SUBWOOFER-SUB-SPEAKER-BOX_W0QQitemZ350130893093QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Subwoofers_Enclosures?hash=item350130893093&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A3%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A2%7C240%3A1318
Just to get the box into the trunk i had to put it in (if you can see the front is angled) with the front facing towards my seat, i don't think i can turn the sub to get the subs facing the back. just to get the subs out i have to cut the box in half because there's no way it's getting back out. I was wondering if anyone has any tips/tricks to get it the way i want or at least to make it louder because having it face the seat really shakes everything but i know i'm losing ALOT of sound. thanks!
It's a 2000 dodge intrepid. by no means it's a small trunk. but the opening is small and it has a pad about half an inch too short
Have you tried pushing them all the way to the back of the trunk?
Forward firing subwoofers "towards the seats" should be pushed all the way to the back of the trunk whereas rear firing should bas as close to the seats as you can
but btw if thats really your box thats a cheap POS you would be way better off and alot happier with the sound quality if you had a custom box made "you could also make it to fit your trunk
Prefab boxes are 99.9% of the time terrible and cheaply made your really not even hearing what your sub has to offer.
