i've been getting a few lights in my home that start burning very bright. when i change the bulb, it doesn't always cure it. seems to happen to the lights that house more than 1 bulb like chandeliers and strip lights. what does this mean?
The only thing that I have ever seen that would cause this is a loose neutral connection. Call an electrician. Could be in the electrical breaker panel, behind the electric meter, at the service drop connection or at the power supplier's pole. Every time I have received this complaint, the neutral was the problem. Probably 10 times over 20 years. If the neutral is the problem it can cause damage to TV, microwave, refrigerator, computers and almost everything in your home. When the neutral connection is lost the voltage fluctuates on both legs of the incoming power changing the voltage on the circuits. One may be high. The other may be low. Have a professional check it.
