Sound - Sony Xplod?
Hey. Ever since I got my car license I've always used Sony Xplod.
At the moment all I got is a stereo, x4 3way speakers (400w) & a 600w amp (all is Xplod). I've got great sound, but I just ordered some stuff off ebay. This is what I'm getting...
- XS-GTX6930 speakers (400w peak power, 100w RMS) x4
- MEX-BT5100 stereo (52wx4)
- XS-GTS1640 (small) speakers (260w peak power, 80 RMS) x2
- XS-L124P5B 12" Polypropylene Cone subwoofer (1300w peak power, 380w RMS) x2
- And I got a Xplod 600w 4ch amp. for my speakers, and a Xplod 1100w 2ch amp. for my 2 subwoofers, and obviously buy a capacitor...
What do you people think about the sound I'm getting? And any opinions on what type of capacitor I should order (link from ebay please)?
Nah, you aren't doing anything wrong at all. Sony has a high reputation and that's why alot of people buy their products. They dont sound that bad at all for entry level equipment. If this is what you are used to, and you trust this brand, then there is no reason to change what you like. If you are looking to get better performance and higher quality equipment, I can suggest some brands to step up to. While I do not buy Sony xplode product, it is certainly okay for you to enjoy what you like. I wont knock your product choice, because I'm sure if it is installed properly and tuned right, it will sound nice. FYI, caps are a waste of money and you would be better off buying a yellow top battery for your vehicle. Enjoy
