Remote Start Bypass

Will a remote start system work with a 1993 Buick Lesabre?
Just wondering if it will work because the Lesabre uses a passive alarm system. The key is embedded with a chip that has a code unique to the car. If the computer senses that the chip is not in place, whether the car was hot wired, etc. the car will shut down. I was wondering if there was a remote start system that bypasses this, as I would really like to get one for my car, but don't want to spend that kind of money if it won't work.
