Positive and negative subwoofer wires accidentally touched and sparked on my car amp, now power light off?
I have a 2 channel MTX Thunder 2300 amp. I had one of the subwoofers unplugged temporarily. While I was driving the two wires somehow touched together in the trunk and created a spark and pop, now the red power LED on my amp won't turn on when car is on. The three 30 amp external fuses on the amp check out fine. Is there an internal fuse or something? Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks!
check the fuse on the amp. also check any fuses under the hood/dash of the car. If all are good you probably blew something internally on the amp. take it to a car stereo shop and have them look at it.
