What to choose, what to choose.......... car audio?
I am interested in buying a new system for my car and here is what I came up with. Everything is going to cost me about $370 with shipping from ebay, everything is new. Is this a good value and do you think this will work out well.
Front Speakers- 3.5" MB Quart DKE 108 50w
Rear Speakers- Kicker 6x9 KS69 360W 2 way
Subwoofer- 12" 07 Kenwood KFC-W3514DVC 1500w
Amplifier- PYRAMID PB1500 1500w 2channel
Stereo- JVC KD-G140
Thanks in advance for any help because it is greatly going to be factored into my decision. Serious and knowledgable answers only please.........

Scrap that amp and what do you think of the following 2. Which one is better performance wise.
-Kole Audio XP2-1500 2channel 1500w
or...............
- Boss RD1500D 1500w 1channel
first of all when choosing ur sound system decide what effect u want...do u want a punching sound or a rumbling sound...the position of the subs is vital...and whether u should have them cone up or down will make a huge difference aswell...
also DONT BE FOOLED by gear that says 1500 watts or 2000 watts...cos it DONT MEAN SHIT....!!!!!
it means power but it doesnt mean clarity...
1500 amp sounds cool but it may only handle to about 200 WRMS....its the wrms that u need to pay attention to...
u should also invest in some tweeters...they'll make the world of difference...trust me...
ur front speakers are good...ur rear speakers are good too...but with ur amp u should bridge the 2 channels together to get maximum power output into the sub...
what i mean by bridging is have the negative cable from the sub the amp in channel 1 negative....and the positive cable from the sub to the amp in the positive on channel 2...
an amp with 2 channels means that the amp is divided its power 2 pays but by bridging the amp it brings all the power from both divisions into the sub at the one time....
if u do this u dont need to worry about the rest of the questions that u have cos it will slam everything around u....
have fun
