I bought this truck that has an Auto page brand system installed, however I took it to an installation professional because its been acting strange and going off when the wind blows but not when he pounded on the doors and windows. He said that it was definitely not working properly and probably had faulty wiring and that for $75 he could uninstall it. Well I don't have $75 to spend on an occasional annoyance. So if any one has any Idea how to take it out, that would be awesome.
I'd tell you to find the brain of the unit, and then trace the wires to disconnect them. However, if it was installed professionally it may be very difficult to locate if you don't know what you are looking for. Also, a security system will often times have a starter kill. If you don't know how to uninstall the unit properly, your vehicle may end up where it won't start.
