Why does TRANS fuse draw when engine off?
I recently started having problems with my battery draining after shutting the engine off. I hooked up a test light between the neg battery cable and the neg post and started pulling fuses and relays until the light went completely out. This occured when I pulled the 20 amp TRANS fuse under the hood in the power distribution center. Why would this be drawing when the truck is turned off? Could it be a computer problem? Any info appreciated. 2000 Dodge Dakota 2WD 3.9L
alternator is bad.really that is the only thing that can drain your battery. to test this start your car pull the neg. cable off if the car dies your alternator is bad you can go to auto zone or advanced auto and they will test it free.
