I reciently bought a brand new Raidmax Xforce case. I installed the MB, harddrives, and CD ROM. I tried to make sure the MB was mounted correctly, I did not have any problems mounting the MB on my last case. But now after I've hook up all the wires, the system won't turn on. It would turn on for a second or two, the cpu fan would spin, but nothing else. The LED light on the MB is green. And worst, the my monitor at work now doesn't work. The green light won't turn off and it shows nothing but a black screen. Now the case did come with a 450 W psu, I had a 430 W psu in my old case. I looked on the board and didn't see anything burned or leaking. Could it be a bad mount or did I just totally fry eveything. I'm more worried about the monitor at work, than my computer. Here is a list of the components.
Try your 430w PSU. Remember with PSU's you want to look at the 12v line rating for the real power for your system. The fact the mobo is getting power (the light) and it only starts for a split second, means there is a short somewhere. Try a different PSU FIRST, (your old one) if not then reseat the mobo and it should work fine.
