electrical automotive problem?
The battery on a camry 99 jumpstarted incorrectly and the battery was destroyed. I've replaced the battery. Many of the electical components do not work: Power doors, windows, heater, shift interlock, brake lights, tail lights, the gauges on dash. I've tested the small blade fuses with my spare fuses (with correct amp) but the problems persist. However, I am not familiar with the fuse board. Do the bigger block ones control the other fuses? As in, do one of the big maxi fuses control several electrical components? Any website where I can learn where all the fuses do on my camry, because the reference sheet only tells me about the small blade fuses and not what the bigger block ones do under the dashboard
You could have blown one of the in line fuses, you should have one on the positive (+) battery cable are on the small wire going to the positive (+) cable,The in line fuses usually are covered with black rubber tape, just take a test light to see if you have power on both sides of the fuse, It's not like a blade fuse it's just a thinner piece of wire . There should be a fuse box under the hood that has main fuses in them ,big fuses like 40 - 100 amps.
