my power door locks are shorting out and i just wanna pull the fuse,switching it to manuel locks.
Greg, the power to the door locks in that model is supplied by fuse #15 and circuit breaker #28, both located in the under hood fuse block.
Tip, Most of the time when we see door lock or power window problems in these vehicles we find broken wires in the door harness, usually in the drivers door because it opens and closes the most. Check the harness in the door jam where the wires flex.Your'e looking for a PK/VT wire and an OR/VT wire in the drivers door harness.
Also be aware that this is a strange year for this system, the passenger door swithch is actually the master switch on this model as opposed to the drivers door switch on most models. That can trip you uup.
The good news is it's a good ol power and ground system, not a mux or CAN bus system, so you should be able to trace it fairly easily with a basic multimeter.
