This has been an on going problem with this car since the day we bought it. It was originally my dads car. its a 2001 Honda Civic DX, its bare minimum, no power windows, doors, and came with a tape deck, but i installed a cd changer. when i use the keyfob thing, it only activates the alarm, but it doesnt lock or unlock the doors. yes i know i said that it has no power locks, but the feature did work perfectly for the first year, but then started to go in and out, and now it completely stopped working. im fairly good with electronics, so i was just going to take my voltage tester to see if the car is even sending a message to the door locks when i press the button. but if there is some kind of easy fix for this please let me know.
i'm not 100% sure with this exact model but you may find that the actuator on the drivers door is faulty, i will be wrong if you can unlock all door by using the key in the drivers door.if not obtain an after market actuator from your local auto shop and that should fix the problem good luck
