i am interested in installing a power doorlock Kit on My 97 wrangler. it has half doors however. i was curious if they had a specific kit for this jeep or is it just a generic one size fits all kit? and ware can i find such a kit?
I'm not aware of any vehicle specific kit so you are stuck with generic. Most stores that install car stereos also do alarms and power door locks. The TJ has rod activated locks which means the fabrication is minimal but there still is some, best to let a shop do it for you since they are familiar with fabricating the activator linkage. If you plan to remove your door be sure that they include a quick disconnect plug. Tell them you don't want a spring loaded connector since jeeps have issues with dirt and the doors aren't as close fitting as most cars.
