12v led strip lights - plug to 5v 500mA or 12v 3A?
I have a 12v led strip lights http://www.prlog.org/10303378-24-led-strip-car-lights-flexible-grill-light-white.html
The problem is I don't know how many current on this strip!
Will I burn my led strip lights with 12v 3A or should I connect to 5v 500mA instead because the current is not that great! Any suggestions please. Thanks.
Well what are you using as a power supply because when you use a battery or almost any power supply the load(LED's) will only use the current that is needed. To be safe I would put a .75 or 1 amp fuse on one of the lead ends and then connect it but it should be fine connecting it strait to a 12v 3A power supply.
