best compact flash light for someone on a budget.?
I was thinking a Streamlight Professional Tactical Series PT2AA LED Light - about $35 on sale.
It takes double AAs goes to 120 lumes, has a strobe feature and lasts for over 10+ hours. I was wondering if it would fit in a black hawk cqc light carrier that I am going to wear on a blackhawk shoulder harness. The light carrier is going to be almost horizontal so I don't want to lean forward and have the light just slip out. 10pts thanks.

one of china's better flashlights. its shockproof, waterproof, very bright (400 lumens), well made, and has a glass lens instead of a crummy plastic one. i got it for $30 at a gunshow, included 2 batteries + charger. that was a very good deal.

it has a glass lens, brass and gold plated connections, machined metal reflector, overall its a very well made, solid, good materials flashlight. this flashlight is waterproof to at least 15 feet.
use rechargeable li-ion cells or two regular CR123 batteries, up to 12 hours run time.
I'm aware that there are different LEDs sold with their flashlight, you'll need to look carefully for the right LED before buying. its the one with one LED with 4 smaller LEDs in it, regulated discharge and accepts 2.8 - 9 volts.
this flashlight is smaller than the streamlight, is less expensive, MUCH brighter, waterproof, shockproof, and has the tactical bezel so it makes a good defensive weapon too.
