where do i get free maps for it? i have thought about downloading torrents but cant figure it out, i have a SD card thats ready to go i just need to download the maps and put it on to it.
Looking on the link,I see a question mark after "GPS", and further in the description there's some remark about GPS for $79. That just isn't clear enough to assume you're getting GPS, or how you're going to get GPS with the unit. I was hoping for a brand name, but there didn't seem to be one on the unit. There are ways to download and customize maps from google, and it looked complicated when I read about it in Popular Science magazine: It may only be a modification for maps already installed though.
NavTeq maps that Garmin and other GPS units use are expensive. If $79 gets you NavTeq maps, that's about the going rate, but I can't assume what your seller is offering. When the unit comes to you, hopefully the instructions are in a language you actually read and they tell you useful info.
