My sound is lagging on my suround sound system!?
OK, so here's the deal.. I have a 26" Phillips lcd tv and a Phillips dvd player with surround sound both have been bought new within 6months. I have them connected through an gold plated HDMI cord. I then my tv has digital audio output and my dvd player has a digital audio input so i connected them and it works but it's just a second delay which is very annoying! Now if i just use the tv speakers and no surround sound speakers(through digital audio) then it works fine!
Please no stupid answers! I'm tired of asking questions and people answering when they have no knowledge of the question which happends everytime i answer a question on here.
Thanks for reading!
See if I have you right:
HDMI from DVD to TV
TV Audio out to DVD Audio in (digital)
DVD Audio Out to ????
At first glance, you created a "loop". Your DVD player will send audio to your speakers, without having to send it through the TV first. Take the digital audio cable from the TV "out" to the DVD player "in" out of the equation.
Now here is where I am unclear on your situation:
I don't know how you are getting audio to your rear (surround speakers). If your DVD has multiple audio "outs", send one to the TV and one to the rear speakers. If you are using a surround capable stereo receiver (and I HIGHLY recommend this - best option, no delay), send the digital audio "out" on the DVD player to the receiver digital "In", and use the receiver to send the audio to the TV speakers (if those are your front channels) and the rear speakers.
Send me an email with your gear, and I will have you hooked up correctly in a few minutes (please include speakers, cabling, etc). You did a good job describing the DVD to TV setup, just need the rest to help you the right way.
