How loose should my double bass pedal be?
When drummers come over to my house they find my pedal quite tight, not very tight but just tighter than what they use and when I just find a drum kit anywhere with a double bass pedal, I just feel s*** cause I just try to do something fast and I just can't control speed or anything. My pedal took a few months to get used to, but I can go pretty fast now...
Should my pedal be looser? (I've been playing drums for exactly a year now).
Don't care about what other drummers think of how tight your pedal is. Are you comfortable with the tightness? Maye you could try on a looser setting, but remember that you want the setting that you are comfortable with and that can give you the most control and speed.
