why wont my caulk stick?
Ok.. needed to reacaulk around the bathtub,,i have been up for 3 days trying this and at my wits end.
I took off the old caulk,,i cleaned it and dried it.I used dap caulk,,not the silicone because that was an absolute nightmare last time.
I did it correctly but it just doesn't seem to dry..i'm peeling up pieces .re..caulking.and trying to fix sptos..peeling up pieces etc.over and over again..i'm just making everything worse and i don't know what to do...it just doesn't seem to be getting "hard". I've let it dry for days and it still feels..tacky. I am caulking between a Porcelain tub and plastic shower surround..the bottom of the surround is not tight to the wall i'm trying to fill in the space between the tub kit and the tub. PLEASE HELP!!!
That happened to me too twice. I has to be to much moisture in the air because it finally dried three weeks later. I even put a sample of the caulking on a stick and had it by the fire place and it wouldn't dry either
