every time I open my messages, switch to ipod and use safari my phone's screen turns sideways even though i'm holding it vertically. I can't really use my iphone horizontally because i have a dead strip (in the second row of apps). What can be the solution to this? i tried restoring it. one of my friends told me that i have to replace the digitizer thing and not the lcd. idk i'm just pissed off with how the phone is now. i don't want to replace it yet because i'm saving my money for a dlsr.
I had that same problem with my ipod. (well the touch screen thing) I was able to fix it myself by myself with a youtube video. your friend is correct, it is the digitizer that is broken. about the turning thing, just be patient. hold it so it is straight up and down and not tilted in any direction and it will work fine.
