i have a lead that connects my ipod and stereo (like a headphone adapter on both ends), i connect one end into the 'aux input' in the back of my stereo. However, after putting the stereo on aux and playing the ipod, nothing happens... any suggestions?
Normally a stereo system has two Aux inputs, one for the left and one for the right stereo channel and a cable like this connects them to an iPod via the headphone socket:
but if you're saying you've got a cable like this to connect your iPod and stereo:
using the headphone socket on your iPod then maybe the volume just needs turning up louder than you would normally. The impedence of the stereo system is greater than that of headphones and the volume is therefore subdued.
