What's the difference between bi-functional projector beam halogen headlamps and HID headlamps?
In many websites of cars like ford I see bi-functional projector beam halogen headlamps and HiD head lamps but , I'm confused , tell me if I'm right , bi-functional projector beam halogen headlamps is ( like a ball , that is next to a halogen headlamps like on ford focus ) , and HID lights is the same , like a ball but more powerful, brighter and durable ( like on BMW X6) , right ? If not explain and give details , please . Because I want to purchase the late coming 2011 ford explorer XLT but I want. To know if it comes standard xenon headlamps . 10 points who ever responds .

the HID would be brighter like the BMW X6 and they tend to last a little bit longer.
but when they do go bad they cost a lot to replace
