I have a 2005 S40 and I like to replace the regular H11 halogen headlights with something bluer/whiter but not HID. Does anyone know which brand and model is the best?
I also have heard that some of those bulbs draw too much power and ended up burn out the wires and fuses. And some bulbs blow up easily. So which one is the best to get?
Sylvania should have some good choices.
If your car uses 55 Watt bulb and you put in a 65 Watt bulb you will draw too much current.
If you draw too much current through the small wiring you will burn off the insulation, the wires might touch causing sparks, there will be a lot of heat created an you might possibly melt the light bulb housing / headlight assembly.
If you get aftermaket bulbs match them to the watt rating on the current bulbs you have.
