Why does a fuse blow while installing my car stereo?
I bought a wiring harness and all the wires are connected correctly. Drive a 1996 Ford Mustang, so the harness splits into two, one for speakers, the other for power. When I plug it in the fuse blows. Any ideas?
There is a short somewhere. If you connected the blue wire with a white stripe and don't have a power antenna try disconnecting it. You might have accidentally mismatched a color so go back over them and make sure there are none with stripes connected to plain wires. Hope I have been helpful.
