What gauge wire do i need to run from my capacitor to my amp?
What gauge wire do i need to run from my capacitor to my amp? I have three Rockford Fosgate T1's and im running 0 gauge wire. I have a capacitor. The question is do i have to run the same gauge wire to the amp as i ran to the capacitor or can i run smaller. My amp will not take 0 gauge wire.
Just run the biggest that your amp will accept. Probably either 4 or 2 gauge.
Or...... You could use an adapter to make the 0 gauge wire fit the amp. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_16846_Stinger+SPT821+-Gold-.html They are fairly cheap. Worth every penny in my opinion. Use one for the power and the ground.
