What type of router should I get?
I need one with good range and reliability. Also can any router handle multiple connections at once like two ps3s and two computers that will be hooked up by Ethernet and one wireless laptop, and an ipod touch wifi? I would like an n router for one of my computers since n is still backwards compatible with g. The ps3s are g and so is the laptop, don't know if the network card on the laptop is integrated g so don't want to change it.
I'm probably looking at dual band router, but I was wondering if routers in general can have that many devices running at full speed without lag, if so what brand and model, price is no issue, I just want the best connection possible for all devices and my high speed internet.
Linksys makes the best but whenever you have multiple devices running on the network and sharing the internet, the bandwidth is divided among them. The more you have using the net, the higher your lag will be. Secondly, lag on a wireless connection is inevitable considering a signal travels far better through a conductor than it does air
