How can I prevent my deck from being stolen?
Tuesday night, someone broke into my car and stole my deck and Ipod. They even used my own tools to steal it. I called the police and they didn't even care. How can i keep it from being stolen when I put my new one in? Also I removed the faceplate and it was still stolen. IO was parked under a streetlight right in front of my house and the doors were locked.
Still go with the detachable faceplate, but also install a good security system. a Viper 2-way alarm is one of the best. a 2-way means that in the event of a break in the alarm on the car will go off and the LCD screen remote that comes with the alarm will alert you. and some of the 2-way alarms have a range of up to a mile.
Another crazyish idea is a train horn and a 130 psi air compressor. Stupid Loud and will probably burst the thief's eardrums.
All good options but if nothing else, just get a really big gun.
