One of my new friends has been living on the edge lately, strip clubs, clubs, bars, hoods, one night stands and living on his own, and he's doing fairly well for a 19 year old. Another mutual friend who's known him since high school and they were fairly close, sees this new found lifestyle distasteful(he's subconsciously right wing) and doesn't believe anything good can come from it and so decides to shut him out of his life instead of being more flexible all the while keeping up appearances when he has to.
I find this very troubling because the friend who's being axed out is actually a really cool guy and doesn't deserve to be shut out/humored for not doing anything personally warranting dislike.
I have my own ideas about how to handle it,but persistent culture shock dictates i should get a few other opinions.
