How do i resert the airbag warning on a subaru impreza wrx 1996 import?
i removed a non airbag steering wheel.
then fitted a airbag steering wheel,as factory spec.
since then the warning light has come on..
i assume i need to reset the replacement airbag.
It needs to go onto a subaru diagnostic computer to have the light reset, either a dealership or at a specialist.
As you've said your car is an import you might find the dealership network will not allow the vehicle in their workshop! I know this is is the case with Subaru UK.
Your airbag wont deploy in the event of an accident until you get this fixed. Your only other alternative would be to take out the clocks and remove the bulb but I wouldn't advise that!
