What kind of shoes should I wear in Europe in the winter?
I will be in Europe for a month during December and January. I will be traveling throughout France, Germany, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and Belgium. I need some advice on what type of shoes to wear to help me "fit in." I would like something that can keep my feet relatively warm and dry, but I really don't want to stick out like a sore thumb.
Thanks!
I have been to many places in Europe in the winter. You won't go wrong with a pair of flat soled black boots - waterproof and fur lined would be best. Those are cold and wet (snow too) months for those parts of Europe. You shouldn't worry about sticking out like a sore thumb. .comfort and warmth are more important. It seems anywhere you go in the world today, style is pretty open.
