How do I protect leather on a Navy ship?
My husband was recently given a small (palm-size) leather bible initially issued to my granddad in WWII. My uncle also carried it every day of his 20 years in the Army. I'm looking for a way to protect the leather and the tissue thin paper. However it's packaged/protected, it needs to be small enough to fit in his flightsuit (he's a pilot) and able to block out the elements of the sea and salt air. I'd like to something more durable than a Ziploc bag that might tear. He leaves on deployment next month. Any ideas?
If you can't find anything heavier than a zip lock bag, you might double or triple bag it in ziplock bags.......they are pretty durable.
