I saw this historical show about the above, but i can't remember what it was. All I remember was:
It was where this dude fired a missile and turned off it's guidance system (SAM), when the missile reached the approximate position of a USAF jet, he turned the guidance back on and the plane was shot down.
The pilot had begun to see his missile warning systems earlier on but thought it was a mistake.
The narrator said it was a "new" plane with "Advanced" radar and missisle warning systems
The pilot went down and survived fora quite a while, he had a small radio which allowed him to signal his search parties-as well as the enemy.
Anyone know what jet fighter was shot down and who that dude was, and when it happened?
he messed every single thing, and finally ran into the rescue helicopter with weapon in hand.
He could as well got shot from his own rescue team.
rumors say he actually was spared as a part of diplomatic negotiations about the end of campaign. however that is merely conspiracy theory.
