I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra. A Rockford Fosgate P3 Dual 4ohm sub with 1000 watt max and 500 rms and a Power Actoustick Ps2-2600. Please help me with setup and will i be able to connect the sub and speakers to the amp. I heard since i have only one sub its best to connect it in mono. How do you do that?
With a 4ohm DVC you can only run the sub at either 2 or 8 ohms ( http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp?submitted=true&woofer_qty=1&woofer_imp=4 ) so trying to connect it to the amp in "mono" wont work because your amp is only 4ohm stable bridged.
I guess you can try to use that amp for Alpine speakers but you will run a chance of blowing them since the speakers are only 80w rms.
For your sub get a mono block (class d) amp rated at 500w rms at 2ohms.
