How long do you hold a digital tire pressure gauge on a tire to get an accurate reading?
I just bought a digital tire pressure gauge from advanced auto parts. For some reason I can't get an accurate reading on the gauge. Are you supposed to hold it on the tire for a certain amount of time or just a quick press?
Hold it on until the reading steadies. Mine takes about two or three seconds. Make sure it's square in the valve and that no air (at all) is leaking before you count.
tbh, I wouldn't bother with mine if I could get my good old plunger-type thing on my motorbike valves...
