ok so i got a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. For Christmas, someone gave me a Sony Xplod CXS-GT3516F Receiver/2 Speakers combo. Its not the best, but you take what you get...so I ordered this kit for it: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_142CR1286B/In-dash-Receiver-Kit.html?tp=3121 and I just need some help.
1. This is my first time messing with a car, so I'll need a guide. Preferably with pictures lmao.
2. Where should I put them? Replace the ones already in the doors? Or make new holes? Where?
3. I MIGHT be thinking about getting a sub or two, if the price is right. And since I don't what to pay so much, what do you think would be a good sub/amp/box COMBO? Yes, combo, not necessarily built in one, more like a deal that comes with all 3. Also, would I need a battery? I imagine not, but idk wtf i'm talkin about. Thanks in advance.
If you buy your installation kit from Crutchfield they'll offer you a chance to buy the Master Sheet (complete installation guide for the door speakers, head-unit, etc.) Put any speakers that you get in the factory positions, it's just so much easier and cosmetically pleasing. As far as the subs, I suggest getting some. It completes any system, in my opinion. That combo is good for any system. You won't need a new battery for this application.
