Hello, I just installed 6000k HID headlights, and they work fantastically, except for one thing. They aren't nearly as bright as my friends S2000, or my other friends Trailblazer. When I turn them on at first, they are SUPER bright for about 2 seconds, then go dim, then warm up to about half way and stay there. Just curious if it's something I did, or if it's something wrong with the ballasts, or HIDs or what. I'd like them to be about 1.5 times brighter. Thanks to all that answer... Also, they're not a conversion kit, they're actual HID projection headlights, these is the real deal, not some lame conversion kit.

What car do you have? Did you by any chance get "DEPO" aftermarket projector headlamps on ebay or the like? Those don't perform too well. Different projectors have different output and performance, the s2000 projectors are pretty much known for there excellent performance, and perform better than even BMW M3 or Acura TL projectors. You could swap the projectors out for another of the same size, this would be called retrofitting. Join the forum here "HIDplanet.com", its specifically for people who modify their lighting system. I modified my lights with projectors out of a lexus RX330 and swapped the lens out with a "clear lens", this would achieve performance similar to or even exceeding the s2000 projectors and they were relatively cheap (around 150 dollars compared to 300).
Another option is to get hid bulbs closer to around 4300k (plain white) which is what most factory HIDs are. 6000k is losing some light output.
