Should the cost be split reversing into a car exiting wrong way from one-way carpark?
Yesterday I was reversing, looking both ways before hand, when I backed into a car travelling the wrong way through the car park, leaving to exit from the entrance. I accept that I am to blame as it was me who reversed in to them, but should they accept any responsibility? At least share the cost? No damage was made to my car and a few scratches to theirs. I am not sure they knew they were going the wrong way and it did not dawn on me until after they left..
You said you looked both bays BEFORE reversing but did you actually watch through the rear glass as you were reversing? If not, my opinion is that you were at fault.
