Why the car key is hot?
I would like to know why the car key is hot when it stays inside the key hole with engine running. Do you think it is normal operation or something wrong with the electric components? I have a Honda and a Toyota, this issue happens on Honda car only. I do not know whether people see this issue on another car or not.
Thanks in advance.
The car key is warm most of the time and hot rarely (when driving long distance or driving under the hot sun). For this reason, there were a time my hands was burned by it.
Do you think there is somewhere that my car do not have a proper ground cable or fuses or switches in place?
Maybe I will buy the scanner to scan OBD II port to see which code display.
if your ignition key is getting hot it's usually a sign of a bad ignition switch or possibly a bad connection and no it's not normal
