I think my hair is thinning but not sure if I'm just paranoid or how to stop it?
I'm a 28yo male and have been noticing a lot of the hair from my scalp everywhere. When I comb or brush, there's quite a bit (at least ten strands), whenever I give just a gentle tug to my hair I end up having at least one or two two strands, and there's always the odd hair on my desk or on my car's headrest. My hair is the longest it's ever been and maybe it's more noticeable because of that but I'm unsure. It looks like it's thinning near the front of the scalp a bit
My family doesn't have a history of hair loss but I have been coloring it for ten years and in the last five months have been using the Brazilian Keratin straightening treatment. I've really only noticed the dramatic increase in hair in the last two months or so. Would these cause it to happen?
Are there any products to help hair growth that work well? That's if it's the case....
Thanks
There are many causes for hair loss, but out of them all only two of them are permanent. Heredity and hormones are both irreversible.
Heredity is simple you inherit hair loss through your parents. Hormones are a bit more complicated though. In men enzymes work on testosterone and produce DHT. DHT causes hair follicles to shrink. When hair follicles shrink enough they can’t produce more hair, so old hair cannot be replaced.
Since your family doesn't have a history of hair loss you don't have to worry about heredity, It could be the hormones. Some people start being affected by the hormones earlier than other men. But what i think the problem is, like i mentioned above when hair follicles shrink enough they can't produce more hair. Hair coloring shrinks the hair follicles in your hair, especially when you use hair coloring enough. It also could be the Brazilian Keratin straightening treatment that could be shrinking your hair follicles.
What i would do is try to stop using the hair coloring and Brazilian Keratin straightening treatment for a while and see what happens, and if that doesn't help then theirs a product called Provillus that has tons of great reviews. You can find out a lot more about this product at the link below.
