What to do on a 14 hour long car trip?
I already know to sleep, bring a gameboy, food, dvd player,crossword puzzles, books, a camera, ipod, pillow, and a blanket, cards. Is there any fun board games that I could bring on the car trip. My brother, and cousin are coming too. And I'm 15 if that helps. I'm not into I spy or stuff like that, or the alphabet game.
There is a great game to play called the animal game and everyone can play. Basically you get points for certain types of animals you see. There are rules, see below, but here are the point values. You will need to keep a score sheet and I promise everyone will love it. It is so addictive and you'll be amazed at the amount of animals you'll see.
Horses/cows/birds(little birds/crows etc.) = 1 point
cats/dogs= 5 points
deer/woodchucks/squirrels/chipmunks= 10 points
hawks/eagles/ducks/herrons= 15 points
sheep/pigs/ponys/chickens/farm animals other than cows or horses = 20 points.
foxes/coyotes(very rare)= 80 points.
Rules:
if there is an animal that you see that is not on the list then make up a point value for it and make sure everyone agrees.
if there is a group of animals/birds you may only count one in the group.
if you call an animal and it turns out to be the wrong animal then you get 3 misses and then you deduct the amount of the missed animal x2.
The first one to 200 points is the winner or you can adjust accordingly.
You're allowed to make 3 blind calls on an animal. For example, if you're coming up around a big curve and can't see what's ahead, then you can say "I'll bet there are cows around this next curve, blind call." Then no one is allowed to answer until you get around the curve. Now if there really are cows around that corner then you get 5x the point value. You only get three blind calls a game. It can get pretty exciting if you call an animal, like a deer, and they are really there.
