I have a 1999 camry le with component speakers and I am going to replace the front door 6.5 inch speakers. I've tried to find the specs on the factory speakers, but came up with not much luck. So I guessed that the speakers in there already are a single woofer cone, and was looking into new speakers. Many of the speakers were 2-way speakers and i was just wondering if I should find single woofers without tweeters or if I could just get 2-way speakers? I thought that the tweeters in the door AND upper dashboard would over power everything, but I just need a second opinion.
get any kind of aftermarket speakers and you will definitely hear the difference. doesnt really matter what kind of factory speakers you have as long as the new speakers your getting are the same size. the speakers you will get will definitely over power those factory tweeters you have but it will still sound so much better than before.
