I want anyones opinion on these cables..people say silver cables are the best, Van Den Hul, audioquest etc...i just want to get value for money and a good decent cable that will give me decent sound for 5 meter interconnect... many cables i hear are just overpriced for no reason..kindly give some good recommendations
The fact of the matter is there is neither a cable so good it will somehow improve the overall sound of your system, nor a cable so bad it will decrease the sound of your system.
The ONLY advantage silver has over copper is it is SLIGHTLY more conductive - which can be equaled by copper simply by using copper with slightly more cross section.
Copper/silver/gold/platinum HAVE no sound.
Interconnects are simply a means to transmit signal with minimal loss of, or any effect on quality from the source to the amp.

Personally, I believe that there are very good quality (2 ch ~15') cables available in the $20 range.
There are some nice cables I could see spending $30-40 on, but beyond that is completely pointless. There's nothing to be gained other than personal satisfaction.
