I have an older car (93 maxima) and the original owner put some audio equipment in it himself during the early 90's.
It's speakers work well enough to my standards, so I don't want to replace them.
Inside my car I have a cassette player head unit that never worked well at all, and in the trunk I have a 6 CD changer that works decently as far as I know. I have a friend who unhooked entire system for reasons that equate a long story about my moving across country - let's not go there.
How do I ask for what I am looking for without getting upsold? I'd like to keep the 6 CD changer and just get another head unit. Can I get that and have it installed and hooked up to my old equipment? Should I get another cassette player head unit? or a CD player? It doesn't matter to me as long as it's cheap, plays MP3's and I can use the 6 disc CD changer I have in my trunk.

The most important thin is recognize the brand of your radio and your cd chaner they should be the same. If you buy another radio it has to be the same brand of the CD changer in order to be compatible. Otherwise you won't be able to controll it, UNLESS you buy a cd chaner adapter to connect it throuh the antenna,which I personally don't recomend beacuse no matter what it will alwayss have some distortion from the FM Stations. I would recommend to buy a MP3 radio. can have approximetly 150 sons in just 1 cd. Trust me is the best you can do.
