im hooking up a dual dvd system in my car and i'm trying to figure out how to bypass the parking brake cable ?
ive been trying to research it and from what i understand i have to ground the parking brake cable and it will work at all times but i want it to work only at certain times so i am putting in a toggle switch, the switch has two wires..does one end connect to the parking brake cable right out of the harness and the other wire off the switch goes to the ground on the harness ? would this work ?
The toggle switch breaks the circuit so if you're running neg signal through it you need 1 wire grounded to the chasis and 1 going the radio's parking break wire.
