Blinking/flashing computer monitor. What's wrong with it?
I have a Gateway flat screen monitor and it's 4 to 5 years old. For the past week, it has been blinking/flashing like a strobe light while computer boots up. Now this morning, something new is happening in addition to the blinking -- it "blacks out" every so often -- even after it has booted. Is this something I can fix or is it time for a new monitor? Thanks.
this may not be the monitor thats having trouble,it could be your video card, if u have another pc available, try the monitor it. if it does the same thing,throw away the monitor. If it works good, it's your video card,best to call your manufacturer to replace it or trouble shoot the problem.
